Cookies
We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. That is the whole of it.
If you received a quote
We set no cookies at all. The page where you read and sign a quote does not use them, does not track you, and does not need your permission for anything. That is why you were never shown a cookie banner — there was nothing to ask about.
If you have a LiveQuote account
A cookie keeps you signed in between pages. Without it you would have to enter your password on every screen, so it is strictly necessary and does not require consent.
- It holds your session token — never your password. Alongside it we keep a short-lived signed copy of your sign-in state, refreshed every few minutes, so pages load without checking the database each time.
- It is tied to the exact web addressof the dashboard, so it cannot be read from any trader’s public page. That is deliberate: a cookie shared across addresses would leak one trader’s session onto another’s site.
- A session lasts up to 30 days unless you sign out, which clears it immediately.
Blocking it will stop you signing in. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings, or by signing out.
What we do not use
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No third-party trackers or pixels.
- No analytics that identify you.
- No cross-site tracking of any kind.
If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
Payments
When you add a card, you are taken to a page hosted by Stripe, which sets its own cookies to run the payment securely and prevent fraud. That happens on Stripe’s page, under Stripe’s policy, and only when you choose to add a card.
